The character Buffy Summers, as portrayed by Sarah Michelle Gellar on the hit television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, turns 32 today! The show was a hit while it originally aired between 1997 and 2003 and continues to be a cult hit to this day. Ten years after it has been off the air, the show still has a very strong following.
I’ll be honest, though. I never really got into Buffy while it was on the air; I was more of an Angel fan myself. Maybe I arrived too late to the party to be able to fully appreciate the awesome that was Buffy. However, my wonderful girlfriend is a huge Buffy fan and recently inspired me to start watching episodes en masse. Boy am I glad she did. I love it and I can definitely see why so many other people loved it (and still do).
So, in honor of Buffy Summers and Joss Whedon (the creator of the series), let’s all have Buffy the Vampire Slayer marathons today. It’s a Saturday in January and, who are we kidding, it’s probably going to be crappy outside. Sounds like a perfect day for a marathon to me!
So grab some snacks and cozy up to your televisions and…HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUFFY!
This may possibly be old news for some of you, but it may also be new and wonderful news for others. It has been stated that Star Wars Weekends will be returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through the dates of May 17-June 9.
James Arnold Taylor and Ashley Eckstein, the voices of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka Tano respectively, of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series are confirmed as the two celebrity hosts for the event.
If you’re lucky enough to be able to attend the event this year (unlike myself), visit the main Star Wars website below for further details such as future announcements of special guests and events.

I am a huge fan of LEGO, and I mean HUGE. It’s actually a dream of mine to visit LEGOLAND California and LEGOLAND Florida one day. But now that my geek factor is out of the way though, I wanted to share something I found earlier. I stumbled across this amazing sculpture and just had to share it. This sculpture was part of the remodeling of the Downtown Disney LEGO store back in 2011. The detail that went into this is simply astounding!

Okay, let me start off by saying one thing. I know a lot of people are irritated with the “Keep Calm” craze going around, but I personally love it. I’ve even thought about collecting shirts! *cough* Anyways, as I was saying. There seems to be an overabundance of these Keep Calm shirts floating around with a plethora of themes and slogans, but one caught my eye. I first saw this gem on Tumblr and traced its origins back to a website called Skreened. If you’re a fan of both the Keep Calm craze and Harry Potter, just like I am, this shirt is a must have! Behold:
Classic Hermione on a classy shirt. If you’re wondering, the price is only $25.99 US and comes in a variety of colors.

Who wouldn’t want any Star Wars themed coffee table? A man named Barry Shields put a ridiculous amount of man hours into crafting one. Not just any Star Wars table though; an X-Wing table! It’s being sold for $60,500 and it took him six months to carve the whole thing. Even at that astronomically high price, I’m sure there’s a fan out there willing to purchase that beaut!
